CRISTINA AMARIEI (married GAVRILU ŢĂ)
( b.1971), is a lector doctor at the Alexandru
Ioan Cuza University, Faculty of Philosophy, Sociology and Social Work
Department Iassy, Romania. Teaches courses on Romanian and
universal ethnology, general sociology, sociology of deviant behaviors and
social control.
She is the program secretary of the Interdisciplinary
Research of Religions and Ideologies (SCIRI), Iassy,
Univ. „Al. I. Cuza”, redactor at the Sociological Notebooks
journal, member of the Romanian National Association of Sociology,
SACRII member, and vice-president of the Antropos Association. Has
specialization studies in France (Febr.- May 1997, fellowship at
Universite des Sciences et Technologie de Lille, Nov.2003 – May 2004, doctoral
fellowship at Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris). Publishes
studies and articles in Romania and abroad and the book Socioanthropology of
the religious phenomena (Axis, Iaşi,
2003), Sociology of deviance and of social control
(LD course, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, Iassy, 2005)
Participates in various research projects: (1995–
sociological research regarding social and political aspects, Tulcea, Romania,
1997– ethnological research called Social Representations of Time Ieud,
Maramureş, Romania, 2002 - sociological
research named Socio-professional Integration of ex-convicts (within the
project with the same name coordinated by the N.G.O Social Alternatives), 2004 -
sociological research named Work Exploitation of Children and Teenagers (within
the project with the same name coordinated by the N.G.O Social Alternatives). In
2005 – works within the Small Democracy Grants program, is a member of
the organization team of the Young people and politics’ meetings,
and periodically makes various media appearances.
